Detailed information

Product detailed description

Professional tool for maintaining coarse hair. Ideal for breeds that require clipping, while respecting the natural texture and structure of the coat.
The Artero deshedding stone is an essential tool for maintaining coarse hair in professional dog grooming. Designed to remove dead hair from the follicle without breaking it or damaging the skin, it preserves the original texture of the coat and prevents it from softening or losing its natural shape due to the use of scissors or clippers.

Thanks to its porous texture, made from natural abrasive materials, it easily captures hair and offers precise, effective and skin-friendly work. The ergonomic shape and low weight ensure a comfortable grip, ideal for long hair removal.

Available in two versions:

Normal: more open pores, ideal for quickly removing a large amount of hair.

Fine: narrower pores, suitable for sensitive areas, finer hair or finishing work.

Recommended for wire-haired breeds such as the West Highland White Terrier, Schnauzer, Fox Terrier, Border Terrier or Cocker Spaniel, this tool is a practical and less invasive alternative to a razor, especially in sensitive or hard-to-reach areas.

How to use

Coat preparation

The coat should be clean, dry and untangled. Combing beforehand will help you visualize the areas you want to work on.

Pulling the hair

Hold a small section between your fingers, leaving the section you want to remove exposed.

Applying the stone

With the stone firmly in place, gently slide it along the hair strand in the direction of growth. This helps remove hair from the roots without causing pain or damage to the skin.

Working by zones

Divide the dog's body into sections (neck, back, sides, legs) and work in stages. Use a regular stone for overall volume and a fine stone for more detailed areas.
Finishing

Gently brush through to remove any loose hair, and if necessary, go over the details with a stone or fine blade.

Composition
A natural abrasive material with a porous texture.
