Instructions for use: Long coat - A gentle brush with a light, long stroke that sweeps across the ends of the coat to prevent static damage. For best results, apply the coat in layers. Start at the bottom by parting horizontally and hold the section with your free hand. Work methodically upwards, keeping your wrist straight to avoid contact with the dogs skin. Straw coat - Comb in the direction of the coat growth and then against it using long strokes Coarse coat - Comb in the direction of the coat growth then remove fur and dead hair as needed. Pay special attention to areas prone to mats, such as behind the ears, on the hips and under the legs. Use a coarse comb to check for remaining mats after brushing. A general purpose soft brush is ideal for use after bathing while drying and combing the coat. Use light, long strokes against the direction of coat growth. Comb slowly to avoid static buildup. If the coat is matted, use a general purpose soft brush in combination with a matte removal tool. To prevent matting and tangles, the coat should be washed regularly, conditioned and brushed daily.
