How to use: Long coat - Comb gently with light, long strokes, combing towards the ends of the coat to avoid static. For best results, comb through the coat in layers. Start at the bottom by parting the coat horizontally and holding a section up with your free hand. Work methodically upwards, keeping your wrist straight to avoid contact with the dogs skin. Curly coat - Comb in the direction of the coat growth and then against it with light, long strokes. Coarse coat - Comb in the direction of the coat growth, then remove mats and dead hair as needed. Pay special attention to areas prone to matting, such as behind the ears, on the hips and under the legs. Use a wide-toothed comb to ensure the coat is thoroughly combed after brushing. The Universal Duo-Pin slicker is ideal for use after bathing and blow-drying. Use light, long strokes with and against the direction of the coat growth. Comb slowly to prevent static build-up. If the coat is matted, use the Universal Duo-Pin slicker in combination with the Matbuster de-matting tool. To prevent matting and tangles, your dog's coat should be bathed, conditioned and combed regularly.
